Too much fun was had by the folks at Public Affairs at BEA this past weekend. They managed to compile, edit, design and print a full non-fiction book in 48 hours. The result is Book: The Sequel. The premise is as follows: take any book, come up with its sequel, write a great title and the first line. Here are some gems:
See, I was right. —From Das Kapital 2 (sequel to Das Kapital by Karl Marx)
HappyMeals are all alike; each unhappy meal is unhappy in its own way. —From Anna McKarenina (sequel to Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy)
Bob Marley was dead, to begin with. —From Kwanzaa Tunes (sequel to A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens)
Go here for more on the book and how to buy.
